Info & Our Contract

At Jomarie Kennels our Labrador Retrievers are Purebred and Registered with The Canadian Kennel Club including our Puppies. Our Labradors have wonderful temperaments, soundness & personalities. In return they have produced wonderful family pets and companions, that are very sociable, adaptable & have a happy go lucky personality. When we breed our girls it's to improve the quality of the breed and to show the wonderful temperament Labradors are known for. We feel this makes for the ideal family friendly Pet, and Breeding Stock.

Our Labradors in our Breeding Program have the required Clearances, this ensures that they are in the BEST health, especially prior to any breeding. Our Labradors have the required Clearances and Certifications for Hips, Elbows and Eyes by either OVC... Ontario Veterinary College or OFA... Orthopedic Foundation for Animals. Eyes are examined by a Certified Veterinary Ophthalmologist and Cleared for PRA (Inherited Eye Disease) annually. These Clearances are important to us in producing the healthiest puppies at our Kennel. We wouldn't expect anything less, that we won't keep ourselves. When we have puppies will have both Sire & Dam's documentation available for your viewing.

Our girls are monitored and Vet checked prior to any breeding, when the timings right we then proceed as planned, then we wait for the arrivals. Our puppies are born and raised  IN OUR HOME in a Whelping Room that is set-up especially for our mothers & puppies, we monitor the progress until departure at 8 weeks. Our puppies remain in our home and are well socialized, which helps in the adjustment to new homes when their ready for departure.

Our Puppies after purchased from buyers, will be Registered with The Canadian Kennel Club, will be identified by Micro-chipped implant which will be done at the time of 1st Vaccination. Our puppies will have all, or Partial Dewormings and this dewormer will be recorded for that litter. We offer a 2yr Guarantee for Hips & Eyes, and our puppies are sold on a CKC Non-Breeding Contract (Buyer receives a Copy), we require from the buyer a copy of the Spay/Neuter Certificate from the attending Veterinarian (This is Breeder mandatory).  We offer a 6 week Complimentary Pet Insurance which WE activate (Confirmation copy for buyers), and strongly recommend that new owners  continue this Pet Insurance until your Labrador reaches 2 years of age . We provide booklets with our Contract, a 3-4 generation Pedigree of that litter.  An outline on Vaccinations done by the Breeders, and the remainder of Vaccinations & the Rabies that new owners are responsible to complete and the dates they are due, along with other information. We have sold our puppies to Responsible Breeders and, these Responsible Breeders have First PICK over our waiting list. We will provide buyers with as much information as possible, in the adjustment for new puppy owners. All puppies need at least One year for the chance to thrive as a family member, and not just as a pet, this can be a wonderful enjoyment for the whole family. I encourage possible new owners to do their research and understand  the "Breed of Labrador Retrievers" before welcoming a Labrador into a family home.

We allow viewing by appointment ONLY for the interested buyers once the puppies are approx 5 wks old. As we mentioned Responsible Breeders purchasing our puppies COME FIRST, then waiting list requests will follow. At our viewings for those that are interested, and upon careful consideration and understanding on the care that's needed with owning a Labrador.... we will proceed.  We do require a deposit of    $200.00     which will secure your chosen puppy until departure at 8wks and....  If for any reason you feel that you have changed your decision AFTER  giving your deposit, OR chosen/decided to purchase a puppy elsewhere, YOUR DEPOSIT IS NOT REFUNDABLE.   Make sure that your decision is also family agreed, when we sell our Labradors it is with the understanding that the families & homes they go to, are going to provide a lifetime commitment and not on impulse. We understand that sometimes unforeseen events take place in the lives of those that have loved and cared for our Labradors.... We request from the buyers, that WE the Breeders have  FIRST RIGHTS to our Labradors returning to us. Our Labradors are  welcomed back.

We have included  "Our Contract"  for viewing, or feel free to contact us by email at

****** RESPONSIBLE BREEDERS Vs  The other******

There are many good Responsible Breeders that stand behind their Breed of Animal, their knowledge and dedication to raise, work   trainable dogs for Obedience & Confirmation shows, Companions or loving Family pets.  Breeders may have limited  litters of puppies in a single year. Responsible Breeders can provide information and documentation on their breeding stock along  with ongoing support with the knowledge that their puppies are Healthy. With all the careful DNA  testing & screening that is available today,  Responsible Breeders try to eliminate the concern of unexpected health problems that could arise in puppies and young dogs,  but it could happen....so we don't dismiss that it couldn't happen, as this would be... impossible. Breeders make ever effort to ensure that their puppies are healthy, but can't control the enviroment factors or suroundings and the genetics interactions. Breeders can't make 100% guarantees, but can try to provide the buyers the understanding of the "Breed".  So when you choose a breed of animal you want for a family pet find a

Reputable/ Responsible Breeder, that can help and support you in the search for that special puppy.  Responsible Breeders would be able to answer questions to the best of their knowledge, about concerns or issues  interested buyers may have. Breeders don't have the answers to questions all the time, but are willing to help find the answers if needed. Good breeders will made suggestions or help educate the buyers on the daily requirements that the puppy will need.  A Breeders position doesn't come with an income of rewards in $$$ in order to produce the Canine world. It takes time, patience, and $$$ for food, $$$ for vet bills to ensure yearly and seasonal health is up to date, not to mention the cost of publicly showing at Canadian, American or International Kennel Club shows, and it can be costly. Breeders have also experienced sadness, losses in showing & breeding and experiences in Canine health issues, but are still willing to educate themselves. Responsible Breeders will support their puppies & the owners at anytime.

Breeders don't become rich from breeding, but .....Rich from the lives and hearts that they have made happy over the years.... from the Breed of Animal they love best. Breeders take pride in their Breed of Animals, and will juggle their time, and open their hearts & doors for serious Inquires. Most Breeders will usually help in your search for that family pet.... if not with the breeder you contacted, then will refer you to other Responsible Breeder.... Just Ask yourself...... The choices are clear.
